The Ground Floor

The cottage maintains the original leaded windows and is beamed throughout. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. The modern additions of oil central heating ensure a warm comfortable atmosphere throughout the whole cottage.

The sitting room is large and contains dining area, a wood burning stove, lovely comfy settees, television and video, books of local interest and original art work. This a very friendly room offering a 'home away from home'.

For your convenience the ground floor also has:

• A large boot/utility room which contains extra kitchen units, sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, hanging space and a separate door to the garden.
• A bathroom with WC, bath and shower.
• An open plan kitchen overlooking the garden fully equipped with fridge/freezer,dishwasher, cooker, microwave and ample cooking equipment and storage space.
• A shed for storage of bicycles etc. (if you need any additional space!)

Upstairs

The open plan staircase leads from the kitchen area too the first floor. Here we have a newly refurbished bathroom, WC and washbasin.

Bedroom one has twin beds, Bedroom two may be converted into a single/twin or double please state your preference at the time of booking. Both of these bedrooms have beamed ceiling with outlooks onto the garden.

The third bedroom has a luxurious king sized bed, open fire place and wash hand basin. Like the other bedrooms it has a beamed sloping ceiling with large windows looking over the garden and a glimpse of the River Tweed. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space and tea and coffee making facilities.

All of the bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard with practical and antique furniture and fittings. A baby cot , baby pen and high chair are available upon request.

We also provide a meal service delivering meals cooked from the best quality local produce and delivered to your door at Whitecroft for those of you who do not feel like cooking during your stay. A seasonal menu is available on your arrival.
